About

Zeupa

Born in Nantes, France, Zeupa began his musical journey at the age of 8 when he received a dusty old family guitar that hadn't been played for many years. He restored it to make it functional again and started to improvise, reproducing songs like "Smoke on the Water" and "Redemption Song." At the age of 12, his brother gave him Ben Harper's album "Fight For Your Mind." Zeupa took this album as a teacher and began to properly learn to play guitar by himself. With this album, he also developed a taste for the Weissenborn guitar, which he started to play in his early 20s. Zeupa, having the ability to reproduce the sounds he hears, began to have fun with multiple instruments like drums, piano, and anything that produces sound.

Self-taught multi-instrumentalist Zeupa embodies his music, where the instrument is used to share his soul in a deep and emotional way. For him, music is not always about technical complexity and difficult chords; it is an art that must be expressed with intention in the right moment—a delicate performance of presence and expression of emotions.

« When you play music, you cannot cheat. If you are in, then the Magic happend »

Zeupa was born from a deep connection to the well-known master Shamar Rinpoche in Buddhism. This refuge name is the starting point for a life made of experiences and spiritual self-discovery in 2001 for Zeupa, where music and healing sounds have always been the center point of his balance and equilibrium.

"Indigo" is the first album of Zeupa, written over many years. His messages are a ground for self-discovery and empowerment through an emotional journey. In this album, Zeupa describes his own story and understanding, as he believes it can help others by offering another point of view of reality with songs like "Everything Changes" and "Next Chapter." He also promotes self-realization with songs like "Indigo" and "Follow Your Heart" to help people recognize their own nature.
